Growers and their crop are at the heart of the annual North Carolina Apple Festival. Their contributions run deep in Henderson County.  A little more than a dozen apple farmers are allocated spots in the street fair each year. They must submit an official request and then are put on a waitlist. So how many vendor spaces are allocated for growers? Are they all local? Why aren’t there more spaces, and who is still on the waiting list?
