BACKGROUND
INFORMATION: Early field reports indicate there has been some damage to North Carolina’s tobacco, corn and other field crops from Hurricane Dorian. Commissioner Troxler will meet with farmers in these areas to hear about losses they have sustained on their farms. Agriculture and agribusiness is the state’s leading industry, employing around a fifth of the state’s population.
