The Golden Leaf Foundation has named a new president after its previous leader accepted a position as interim chancellor of ECU. The foundation's board of directors selected Scott Hamilton as the organization's third president. Hamilton takes over the position after former president Dan Gerlach. Hamilton was previously the Executive Director of the Appalachian Regional Commission, which works to strengthen economic growth in Appalachia. He is from Hendersonville and a UNC-Greensboro graduate.
