 The chairman and CEO of agtech firm Pyxus International on Friday labeled a ban on flavors used in e-cigarettes as a means of combating vaping among young people is “misguided and not based on scientific research.” Peter Sikkel, the top executive at Morrisville-based Pyxus, issued his statement Friday morning after  President Trumpo on Wednesday said the federal government will act to ban thousands of flavors used in e-cigarettes. The ban comes in response to a recent surge in underage vaping that has alarmed parents, politicians and health authorities nationwide.
