Natures Crops has partnered with California-based Blue Pacific Flavors to produce ahiflower oil, a plant-derived omega that can be used in milk alternatives, the company said in a press release Thursday. The oil has high levels of nutrients, including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The production of the oil marks the first time a product of this type has been targeted for inclusion in foods, the company said in the statement.
