Thousands of people admired antique tractors, watched old-time farming demonstrations and got to know barnyard animals up close and personal during Saturday’s Farm City Day celebration at Jackson Park. Steve Pettis, an agent with the Henderson County Cooperative Extension Service and a key organizer, deemed the all-day agricultural awareness event a huge success long before it ended.
