The Senate on Monday will consider a pair of ag amendments as part of the minibus spending package.

Access to food distribution programs: Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) has an amendment that would direct USDA to conduct a study on challenges facing food distribution programs that serve people living on American Indian reservations and other underserved populations, such as the elderly and those who are homebound.

Heirs' property funding: Sen. Doug Jones (D-Ala.) wants to give USDA $5 million in funding for a new farm bill program intended to help landowners untangle legal heirs' property issues that have led to many black Americans losing their land.
