This year’s NC State Fair Junior Livestock Sale of Champions was held on October 19th and brought in $167,000 to benefit youth scholarships and livestock programs. The Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina purchased the reserve grand champion junior market steer, shown by Ross Hinnant of Kenly, with a winning bid of $14,000. The reserve grand champion meat goat, shown by Caley Mayo of Whitakers, was purchased for $7,000 by the Farm Credit Associations of NC and Tractor Supply Company.
