Coroner identifies man who died after falling into large grain bin near Lake City

A man who fell into a large grain bin Monday in Florence County has died, according to the coroner. Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified him as 25-year-old Andrew Rupard from Timmonsville. Florence County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Glen Kirby said deputies and firefighters with the South Lynches, Windy Hill, Howe Springs, and Olanta fire departments were called Monday morning to Southeastern Grain Company on Scurry Road just outside of Lake City, where Rupard fell into a large grain bin.
