The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forecasts a warmer than expected winter for much of the United States. NOAA says the greatest likelihood for warmer-than-normal conditions are located in Alaska and Hawaii. However, some meteorologists aren’t buying it. “I don’t believe it,” says AgDay meteorologist Mike Hoffman. “There’s warm water in the North Pacific. That almost always leads to cold shots of air into the middle of the country. NOAA uses their computer models a lot and they are usually warm.” For more of this story, click here.
