Registration is open for N.C. growers to meet with buyers and category managers from Food Lion, The Fresh Market and Jennette Brothers Foodservice Distributors on January 28, 2020 in Concord. Registration deadline is January 10. The day will be structured in 15-minute, one-on-one sessions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Suppliers are limited to one 15-minute session per company and should be prepared with overviews of company operations, product(s), distribution, sales, price points, reclamation process, product differentiation and benefits to their category. Food Lion is scheduling over 50 sessions for fresh produce and packaged nuts from current and new suppliers. The Fresh Market is scheduling meetings only with new potential suppliers of fresh produce, packaged nuts, fluid dairy products, eggs and locally roasted coffees. Proximity to store locations will be considered as each TFM store can purchase “hyper-locally.” Jennette Brothers Foodservice Distributors will meet only with new potential suppliers of fresh produce.
