“Every year European buyers at Fruit Logistica 2020 ask for raw, inshell peanuts from North Carolina,” says Peter Thornton, NCDA&CS assistant director of International Marketing. Fruit and vegetable consumption are highest in southern European countries but rapidly increasing in Scandinavian countries, Ireland and the UK. Sales of pre-cut fruits (frozen and fresh) and vegetables are expanding. You can reach this growing market for U.S. produce by attending Fruit Logistica in Berlin February 5-7.
