NC income tax cut signed into law

 North Carolinians will get a state income tax cut next year but might pay more sales tax for online purchases Gov. Roy Cooper signed a bill Friday that increases the state's standard deduction, which will reduce most people's income taxes. The deduction will go from $20,000 to $21,500 for a married couple filing jointly and from $10,000 to $10,750 for a single person, starting with the 2020 tax year.
