COUNTY EXTENSION AGENT REPORTS
Rainfall was near normal for the period with .30-.50" across the
Jackson and Swain Counties. Temperatures were slightly below
normal with highs from 50-60 and lows 25-32. Hard Freeze the
weekend of November 9th/10th
Robert Hawk – Jackson/Swain County Extension

Dry conditions still many soybeans in the field dry conditions.
Wheat planting is not complete. Hay already very short.
Gary Cross – Person County Extension

Crop harvest is coming to completion. Field work has begun.
Daniel Simpson – Pamlico County Extension

Harvest of cotton and soybean continues. Both yielding better
than average. It is possible to finish harvest with 7-10 days of
cooperating weather.
