On Wednesday, November 20 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in 1300 Longworth, the House Ag Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit will host an expo focused on broadband technologies.

This event will be the first of a series featuring technologies that promote connectivity in rural areas and help capture the creativity and innovation in rural communities. These technologies play a key role in supporting the continued growth of precision agriculture, rural economic development, telehealth, distance education and other industries.

As technologies reliant on internet connectivity continue to play a vital role in the health, development and well-being of rural communities, this event will provide a hands-on opportunity to learn about the array of broadband technologies and how they work together to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural areas. Industry representatives will provide information and display models of different broadband technologies, ranging from fiber to satellite and fixed wireless technology.

This event is open to Members of Congress,  congressional staff, and the public.

Press interested in attending should contact Press Secretary Tommy Mattocks at 202-225-0176.
