NC emissions reduced 92% since 1990, saving $12B: Report

The Consumer Energy Alliance recently released a report stating that North Carolina emissions have fallen by as much as 92 percent statewide since 1990. The state has decreased the emissions of three key pollutants. Nitrogen oxides have decreased by 69 percent, sulfur dioxide has fallen 92 percent and volatile organic compounds have been reduced by 58 percent.
