Why you might be paying more for a Christmas tree this year

It's beginning to look a lot like a Christmas tree shortage this year, as people opt for real trees instead of fake ones. Christian Nicholas, president of the New Jersey Christmas Tree Growers Association, spoke to Inside Edition about the potential shortage and said to expect to pay an extra 15 to 20% for trees this year. “The later it gets, the more difficult it is going to be to find a good, nice, healthy, fresh tree," he said. A full grown Christmas tree can take ten years to mature.
