National Christmas tree shortage shouldn't affect local selection

Christmas tree vendors across the Triangle said that because they rely on local farms, they’ll have plenty of supply to meet the demand for trees this year. Tree experts at the North Carolina Department of Agriculture said farmers statewide have harvested 4 million trees. They're expecting to sell 1 million. Even though demand is higher this year and there’s less than a month between Thanksgiving and Christmas, farmers say they have enough trees and prices will be the same as years past.
