Early November freeze stunted some over-seeded pastures, delayed emergence of small grains, and was not helpful to recently planed strawberries. This had been preceded by an unusually hot SeptemberOctober, that delayed overseeded pastures. Taylor Williams – Moore County Extension

Some dry weather allowed farmers to push to complete soybean harvest. Late season bean yields are about the 30-35 bushel average for the county. Saturday night's heavy rains will delay the completion of soybean harvest at least another 3-5 days. Above average temperatures and adequate rainfall have spurred wheat growth across the county.
