The NC AgVentures grant program has expanded from 18 to 46 eligible counties with new funding from the N.C. Tobacco Trust Fund Commission. An upgraded application process is now open with an application deadline of January 14. The grant program provides grants for new and innovative agricultural project ideas that will increase farm profits either as an individual farm grant or a community grant. Application information workshops for farms have been scheduled at 4 p.m. on Dec. 9 at the Franklin County Center (Louisburg) and 4 p.m. on Dec. 17 at the Harnett County Center (Lillington). County extension agents are also prepared to help applicants with questions and submission.
