Federal appeals court has hog nuisance lawsuits on Jan. 31 calendar

The first appeals from verdicts rendered in hog farm nuisance lawsuits have been scheduled in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Listed for Joyce McKiver v. Murphy-Brown LLC, the appeals court has it scheduled on the Jan. 31 calendar, at 8:30 a.m., for Panel 1 in the Red Courtroom, which is Room 412. A description on the calendar says “multiple related appeals from jury verdicts and damage awards in North Carolina hog farm nuisance litigation.”
