Sustainable development advocates, local food fans, and runners on both sides of the North Carolina-South Carolina border are trying to save a Brunswick County farm from a road construction project. In December, more than 1,000 people attended two public meetings about the project, said Lauren Haviland with the N.C. Department of Transportation (DOT).
