COUNTY EXTENSION AGENT REPORTS December weather has been highly variable with near normal temps early in the month and ending with unseasonable warm temperatures. Precipitation for the month was near to slightly below normal at around 4.5" for the month. Main farm activities include tending livestock, equipment maintenance, and planning for 2020. Hay supplies are already short, with many people looking around to find suitable hay supplies. Wheat is doing fair, with no issues reported. Soil moisture is getting back to normal with the fall rains and showers replenishing moisture. December started with some cool weather, but recently temperatures have been unseasonably warm.
