ALERT FOR GROWERS -

You might receive an email from H2Scheduling@state.gov and/or Jacob M. Miller at the US Department of State Visa Services Office with "H-2A Worker Verification" in the subject line.  It is very important to respond to the email.  The US Department of State wants to verify some of the information on the visa petition.  Failure to respond timely or accurately may result in delay or denial of your H-2A workers.

It is doubtful that all H-2A employers get contacted, but if you receive an email from Mr. Miller - it is important that your answers are consistent with the H-2A application that was filed, so make sure you have your exact information available.

Here are the questions:

• Does [Employer Name] presently anticipate H-2A workers for the 2020 season?

o If yes, are they anticipated via a self-petition or through a farm labor contractor (FLC)? If through an FLC, who did you use?

• How many workers are anticipated?

• When do you anticipate the workers to arrive and how long will they stay?

• What duties will the workers perform?

• Where will the workers be housed?

• Does [Employer Name] presently anticipate any other groups of H-2A workers for this year, 2020?

o If yes, are they anticipated via a self-petition or through an FLC? If through an FLC, who did you use?

o How many other workers are anticipated?
