Markets react to Chinese virus

Optimism has fallen out of the commodity and stock markets as the number of infections rise from the coronavirus in China, which has spread to the U.S., Canada and now at least 13 other countries. As of Monday, Chinese officials had confirmed at least 2,800 cases of the virus with at least 82 deaths. Chinese officials stated there were nearly 5,800 suspected cases of the disease as well, according to China's National Health Commission. Chinese officials also announced they were spending nearly $9 billion to contain the outbreak.
