Each year, WNC Communities manages The Western North Carolina Agricultural Hall of Fame nominating and selection process. This is an opportunity to recognize stewards of the agribusiness sector, as well as honor visionaries and pioneers of the agriculture industry throughout the NC mountains. The WNC Agricultural Hall of Fame was established in 1991 by the board of directors of the WNC Community Development Association, Inc. (currently known as WNC Communities) for the purpose of recognizing, encouraging and promoting agriculture in the 20 westernmost counties of NC.
