The social cost of H2A. For many young men employed by the H2A visa program, the coming and going routine is a challenge. The incomes they make provide for their families back home, but their absences create other problems. Writer Sierra Dickey takes us to Isla Tecuena, an island in Mexico where the majority of the young residents are H2A farmworkers who spend just a few winter months at home and reside in the US for eight months a year to support themselves and their relatives.
