The 2020 campaign for North Carolina’s governor has been shaping up for years as a challenge of Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper by Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Forest. The battle for the Executive Mansion won’t start until after the state primary on March 3. Forest has a fellow Republican challenger.
