British American Tobacco's 2019 profit dips despite exceeding revenue projections

The full-year 2019 profit for British American Tobacco Ltd. dropped 3.2% despite exceeding revenue projections, the manufacturer reported Thursday. BAT is the parent company of the Reynolds American Inc. tobacco company, which is headquartered in Winston-Salem and has 2,500 employees in Forsyth County, primarily at its 2 million-square-foot manufacturing plant in Tobaccoville.
