North Carolina reports first case of coronavirus

North Carolina has reported its first case of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus that has slowly started to spread to the United States, Gov. Roy Cooper’s office reported Tuesday. A Wake County resident recently traveled to Washington state and was exposed at a long-term care facility where there is currently a COVID-19 outbreak, Cooper said at an afternoon news conference. He said that the person, who was not identified, is doing well and is in isolation at home.
