Farmers asked lawmakers to assure positive trade outcomes for agriculture during a House Agriculture Subcommittee hearing on Tuesday. Wayne County, NC farmer Lorenda Overman testified about the financial struggle of farms like hers, the need for trade, the need for fully-funded ag programs and the need for an ag labor workforce. “Fair agreements will determine the future of our existence,” said Overman.
