General Assembly delays meetings over COVID-19

Legislative committee meetings, and school tours at the General Assembly building, are canceled until April 1, General Assembly leadership announced Thursday. Legislative staffers who work full time at the General Assembly may also start working remotely. “Effective immediately, individual supervisors, including legislators, may work with their employees to allow teleworking or electronic commuting in a manner that provides for accountability and productivity – the people’s business must go on,” leadership said in a memo released today.
