USDA loosens certain crop insurance criteria

The USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) is providing remote assistance and additional flexibilities for farmers and ranchers. The agency says this is in response to the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the nation. “Crop insurance will continue to support farmers through the challenges ahead, and our RMA team is here to support them,” said Martin Barbre, RMA administrator in a recent press release. “We are with AIPs (Approved Insurance Providers) to continue to deliver crop insurance and to respond to farmer needs.”
