House of Raeford sells out of bulk chicken: Another sale planned Friday morning

With grocery stores struggling to keep fresh meat in stock, House of Raeford cut out the middleman and sold directly to consumers Tuesday with another sale planned for Friday. “Obviously, chickens are still growing, so the House of Raeford is trying to sustain through this like everyone else,” said contractor Mike Smith. “The farmers are still growing the chickens and they still have to be processed, but the restaurants are not cooking like they normally do, and the suppliers are not buying like normal.”
