African Swine Fever outbreaks continue in China

African swine fever (ASF) continues its deadly spread in China. Agriculture ministry officials said on Tuesday that ASF was detected in pigs transported to the southwestern province of Sichuan. This is the latest outbreak reported out of more than a dozen cases in the last two months, Reuters reports. ASF was discovered in pigs in a truck during inspection in Nanjiang county near Bazhong city. The truck was carrying more than 100 pigs and two had died, Reuters reports.
