Can GMO tobacco plants produce vaccines for the coronavirus, flu and ebola?

The battle against COVID-19 will never be won before the majority of the population gains immunity to the new coronavirus. And the only way to get this done, without losing millions to the disease, is through widespread vaccination. As the medical and research is scrambling to reach a therapy, a Canadian company thinks a healthcare solution can be found in tobacco plants. Currently there is no vaccine ready for any coronavirus. SARS and MERS, caused by different coronavirus strains, were controlled with isolation and quarantine, while the early efforts to develop vaccines came to a halt (due to lack of active cases and interest in a contained disease).
