Mountaire Farms has confirmed 11 cases of COVID-19 at their plant in Siler City and 9 cases in their Lumber Bridge location. Mountaire Farms is the seventh-largest producer of chicken in the United States. Mark Reif, community relations manager, confirms 1,786 hourly employees and 113 managers -- 1,899 total employees -- work at the Siler City plant.
