Reminder: Public hearing for revised log fumigation rules rescheduled for May 4

The Division of Air Quality (DAQ) will host an online public hearing on May 4 to receive comment on the proposed rules to regulate emissions of methyl bromide at log fumigation operations. The public hearings initially scheduled for March 17, 2020 and March 18, 2020 were cancelled due to guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

 

Members of the public are invited to listen to the public hearing online or by phone via the call-in number. Anyone who wishes to provide comment and speak during the hearing is asked to register in advance and attend online.  The hearing officer will provide a brief summary of the rule and then hear comments from registered speakers. The public comment period has also been extended to Friday, May 8, 2020 at 5 P.M.
