Hailey Klepcyk has seen the wineries around the state, just like breweries, look for creative ways to keep cash flowing. Some have pulled out rare wines from the library to come up with new verticals to ship to their customers, while others have found a new hit: virtual wine tastings. Klepcyk, who handles dual roles as vice president of the North Carolina Winegrowers Association and tasting room manager for Piccione Vineyards in the town of Ronda, says that with the power of video conferencing, it’s easy for wineries to chat about their latest product with customers stuck at home.
