Freeze warning has fruit farmers working harder to protect their crops

A freeze warning has been posted for counties in North Carolina. With that in place, some area farmers were up before sunrise on Sunday morning in order to save their crops. Michael Phillips, from Phillips Farms in Cary, did all that was possible to avoid losing his crop of strawberry -- which means irrigating his patch before the frost set in. "This is a bumper crop this year, the best in five or 10 years," Phillips said. That's why he was working so hard to protect his berries.
