Record cargo ship headed for visit to Port of Wilmington

The largest container ship to call on a North Carolina port will pull into the Port of Wilmington next week, according to NC Ports officials. The port's recent expansion – a widening of the turning basin from 1,400 feet to 1,524 feet – allows access for ships like the MC Hyundai Hope. The ship is making its way from Colombia in South America to New York.
