- The Small Business Administration, in
consultation with the Treasury Department, released the Paycheck Protection
Program loan forgiveness application this past Friday. The
form and instructions inform borrowers how to apply for forgiveness of
their PPP loans. SBA will be issuing more guidance soon to further
assist borrowers as they complete their loan forgiveness applications as
well as to provide lenders with guidance on their responsibilities as
well. Get more info from the SBA here.
- The
IRS has an updated webpage for individuals that have received their CARES
Act stimulus payments but found that is was not the amount they were
expecting to receive. It offers a number of reasons
why your payment may not have been what you anticipated. View it here. More than 130 million
Americans have received their CARES Act payments. More continue to
be made daily.
- Here’s an update for Brunswick County residents on
the latest regarding the outbreak within the county.
For today’s good news story, I’m highlighting Amanda Fontana of Wilmington’s Sign Gypsies, who set up displays of signs in Brunswick County for seniors graduating this spring. This is a special time for so many seniors across our district, and it’s great to see many who are stepping up to ensure they get the special recognition they deserve. As always, visit coronavirus.gov and the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services website for
the latest on the outbreak.
