According to the most recent USDA Crop Progress report, 80% of corn in the U.S. was planted as of the week ended May 17, nearly double the 44% planted this time last year. This also exceeded the five year average of 71% of corn planted. Iowa led the charge with 96% of its corn planted, followed by Minnesota and North Carolina, each with 95% of their corn planted.
