The Wayne County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association recently presented $500 college scholarships to two Wayne County students. Jacob Hinson, of Princeton, is a rising sophomore at North Carolina State University. Jacob is pursuing a double major in animal and poultry science. He plans to pursue a master’s degree in animal reproduction and follow his love for animal agriculture with a career in the animal health industry. Adam Wheeler, of Pikeville, is a graduating senior from Charles B. Aycock High School.
