The North Carolina State Fair on Thursday decided to limit open livestock shows to control the spread of the novel coronavirus at the annual event. The fair is planned for Oct. 15 through 25, 2020. "Agriculture and youth livestock events are at the heart of the North Carolina State Fair. While many changes have occurred in 2020, the 2020 N.C. State Fair intends to offer a modified livestock show program for junior competitors; however, open livestock shows will not be held this year," a fair spokesman said.
