A global seed and crop protection group has formed and is laying claim to significant market position but maintains a familiar name. Syngenta Group Co. Ltd., announced the official launch of Syngenta Group under a single entity that brings together Syngenta AG, based in Switzerland; Adama, based in Israel, and the ag businesses of Sinochem, based in China. The new group will be based in Switzerland and has 48,000 employees in more than 100 countries, and had total sales of $23 billion in 2019.
