Duke Energy offers renewable energy program for small-business customers in North Carolina

Duke Energy Corp. has announced a new program to allow residential and commercial customers to purchase renewable energy credits, effectively letting them convert some or all of their power consumption to renewable energy.  Duke (NYSE: DUK) says customers at Duke Energy Carolinas and Duke Energy Progress can buy 250 kilowatt-hours worth of credits for $3 under its new Renewable Advantage program. The fee supports renewable energy on the grid.
