Join the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) & the Director of North Carolina’s China office in Beijing, Daniel Ding, for a webinar discussing the US-China Economic & Trade Agreement (Phase 1).

Phase 1 of the US-China Trade Agreement, signed on January 5, 2020, represents a major breakthrough for trade relations between the world’s two leading economic powers.  It intends to open Chinese markets to more American companies, increase agriculture and energy exports, make many licensing and permitting processes in China faster and more transparent, and provide greater protection for American technology and trade secrets.

This webinar will discuss: background of circumstances preceding the agreement; key elements of the Phase 1 Trade Agreement including intellectual property protection, technology transfers, food and agricultural trade, financial services, macroeconomic policies, among others; as well as an introduction to the China market.
