The EPA has approved the NCDA&CS request for a Section 18 Emergency Exemption request for the use of dinotefuran on apples and peaches for control of brown marmorated stink bug in North Carolina in 2020. This request is supported by both Valent (Venom) and Gowan (Scorpion). While stone fruits appear on the full Section 3 labels of both products, this section 18 allows for higher use rates; maximum rates under the Section 3 or Supplemental labels is 0.175 lbs[ai]/acre, but under the Section 18 label it may be applied at maximum rates of 0.3 lbs[ai]/acre. However, a maximum of only two applications per season of dinotefuran, not to exceed a total of 0.6 lbs[ai]/acre per season, may be used. The preharvest interval is 3 days. The Section 18 approved label must be in possession when using these products. The Venom and Scorpion labels can be downloaded here:

As a reminder, two weeks ago we informed you of the approved Section 18 request for bifenthrin (Bifenture and Brigade) for BMSB on pome and stone fruits. That article, and label downloads, can be accessed here:
