Local farmers work to keep employees safe as migrant workers arrive from COVID-19 hot spots

 There are new concerns about migrant workers arriving in North Carolina from hot spots across the south.
Harvest season is already underway in the Channel 9 area for several different crops bringing hundreds of workers in from out of state. “Never in my lifetime. I never thought I’d see something like this in my lifetime. It’s terrible. I’m trying my best to make sure everybody is safe,” said Raw Wright, owner of Wright Brothers Tomato Company.
